Darcie grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and earned her veterinary medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 2008.  She spent most of 2008-2009 completing a small animal internal medicine and surgery internship at a referral practice in Connecticut before moving to Wisconsin.  Darcie's husband is a small animal internal medicine resident at the UW Vet school and they are thrilled to be living in Madison.
They share their home with two dogs (Layla and Jelly) and five boy cats (Maz, Ernie, Tony, Ira, and little Almond).
Darcie loves all kitty patients and has a very special place in her heart for pit bulls!  She is especially interested in dermatology and internal medicine cases.
When not working Darcie loves to read, watch the Steelers play football, do yoga, and spend lazy afternoons on the couch with her cats.
