Emilie grew up near Ann Arbor, Michigan and after earning her B.S. degree from Cornell University, moved to Madison in 2003. She is now a proud Badger, as she earned her M.S. in Comparative Biomedical Sciences and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of WI-Madison.

Emilie shares her home with her husband Sam, 2 dogs (Lucy - an Australian Shepherd and Willy - a German Shepherd/Doberman mix), and a domestic short haired cat (Daphne). She has a special place in her heart for Australian Shepherds and geriatric cats, and her professional interests include senior pet care and internal medicine cases.

In her free time, she enjoys yoga, watching movies, traveling, and downhill ski racing.
