Elizabeth has been in the veterinary profession since 1987. She earned her BS in genetics in 1981 and her Doctors of Veterinary Medicine in 1987 as a member of the charter class, both here at the UW.
Elizabeth lives with her husband Huck who she married in 1980. They have two children Kyle who was born in 1982 and Emily who was born in 1985. They share their home with Lila, a blue Abyssinian cat, Foster, a domestic short hair cat, Brie, a French Bull Dog and Phoebe, a whippet.
While Elizabeth confesses to loving cranky, old, female cats the best, greyhounds come in a close second because of their sweet and patient natures. She is especially interested in senior pet care, soft tissue surgery and oncology. One of the most satisfying aspects of her profession is knowing clients for a long time and seeing their families (both critter & kids) grow and change.
In her free time she enjoys gardening/landscaping, reading, traveling, running and biking (both bicycles and motorcycles). Although she hates loud noises she loves her "very obnoxious" Harley.
