Dr. Mary Kuefler

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Mary Kuefler joined the Odyssey team in 2001 (up until 2006, the business was called “Cats Here Dogs There”). A native of Indiana, Mary earned her B.A. in Psychology and Pre-Med from the University of Notre Dame in 1995, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in 2000. Her favorite areas of veterinary medicine include internal medicine, senior pet care, pediatrics, wellness care, and anesthesia. Mary believes that our society’s love of our animal companions brings out the best qualities in people, and she feels fortunate that as a veterinarian she gets to witness these heartwarming bonds.

Mary and her husband Tom have four kids, a Texas rescue dog named Joey who is always the bright spot of everybody's day, and a cat named Peanut, who runs the show. In her free time, Mary enjoys running, reading, and being outside in nature.

Due to her cohort of young children, Mary currently works on a part-time basis. If you were to ask one of her clients, they will tell you that Dr. Kuefler is worth the wait as her kind gentle nature and thoroughness are unparalleled
