  • AAHA Healthy Pet - A Pet Care resource from the American Animal Hospital Association featuring a plethora of health care information, blogs, adoptable pets, community events and more.
  • HomeAgain Microchips - About the size of a grain of rice, Home Again microchips are designed to last your pet’s entire lifetime and they link to a permanent listing in a nation lost pet database.

  • Parasite Prevalence Maps - From the Companion Animal Parasite Council, these parasite prevalence maps show how at risk your dog or cat is to tick-borne diseases (like Lyme disease), intestinal parasites and heartworm. Also view how many positive cases have been recorded in all of Wisconsin and specifically in Dane County.

The website is designed to advocate and promote veterinary medicine while enriching animal and human health.

  • America Association of Feline Practitioners - A non-profit organization that has developed a campaign to educate cat owners about recognizing subtle signs of sickness in our feline companions and when it is time to contact your veterinarian. They also provide tips about how to transport your cat to the vet and make their visit a stress-free as possible.
  • Cat Fancier’s Association - The world’s largest registry of pedigreed cats. Includes information on cat shows, breeds, cat care, and a showcase of the winning breeds.
  • Feline Diabetes - A complete pet health guide to the treatment of diabetes mellitus in cats.

  • American Kennel Club - The AKC is a registry of purebred dog pedigrees in the United States. This site is a great resource for selecting a breed that fits your lifestyle and locating a breeder in your area. You will also find information on training, socialization, classes, dog shows, and keeping your dog healthy.
  • Dog’s Best Friend Training - Dog’s Best Friend Training was founded in 1988 Patricia McConnell, Ph.D., an internationally known and respected expert in animal behavior. We are now owned by Aimee Moore Jarosz, Patricia’s training program director for many years and our guide and visionary who continues Patricia’s legacy and overall philosophy for training dogs.
  • Homeward Bound Animal Behavior and Training, LLC - Homeward Bound Animal Behavior and Training, LLC is a force free, positive reinforcement-based consultation and training service that offers in-home behavior consultations within a 40 mile radius of Wyocena, Wisconsin. Cases will be considered outside of this radius for an additional charge of $0.35 per mile. Remote consultations are offered nationwide! We specialize in canine, feline, and avian behavior.

  • ASPCA Poison Control Center - An online resource for poison-related information and an emergency contact available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (should you not be able to reach Odyssey).
  • Pet Poison Helpline - A 24-hour poison control service for pet owners and veterinary professional who require assistance with treating a potentially poisoned pet. This site also includes a searchable poison list and a guide to pet safety.
  • Veterinary Emergency Service - With locations in Middleton (High Point Rd) and Madison East (East Broadway), Veterinary Emergency Services is prepared for animal emergencies 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. VES also has a Specialty Center for cases involving surgery, dermatology, oncology, internal medicine, and advanced procedures.
  • UW Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital - Offers more specialty services and specialists than any other facility in Wisconsin including cardiology, dermatology, internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, oncology, physical rehabilitation, and emergency services.
  • Madison Veterinary Specialists – Emergency and Specialty Veterinary Care (mvsvets.com) - Located on Royal Avenue in Madison, Madison Veterinary Specialists are ready for any animal emergencies 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. MVS also has specialists on staff for cases involving internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, surgery, and radiology.
