Dr. Valerie Nazario Ferrer

Dr. Valerie Nazario Ferrer was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, and then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and Nevis. After graduation, she decided to move to Madison Wisconsin to join Odyssey Veterinary Care.

Valerie enjoys spending time with her partner, Billy, and their two cats, Nube and Gorda. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors surrounded by water and exploring the different foods and festivals Madison has to offer. Her favorite food since being in Madison has been the cheese curds.

Valerie’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is patient care. She wants her patients to have the best quality of life and to be able to guide clients towards this. There is nothing more special than the animal/human bond and everyone deserves this connection. Valerie also enjoys dermatology and dentistry which are a very important part of primary care.
